I went o my first pub!! It was called the Duke of York and was only about 2 1/2 blocks from our flat. It was so tiny but so ENGLISH! The bartender, Tom, made us some drinks with highly inappropriate names that had butterscotch schnapps and Bailey's in it (is that a buttery nipple in America? They called it a cock-sucking cowboy here... much more amusing if you ask me). After that i ordered a beer called Carlsberg. It's supposed to be their Bud Light/Miller Light but tasted much better. I learned to play darts and met some very nice older men that hang out at the pub so much they'll run down to the liquor cellar for the bartender if he needs something. It made every one of us to find a pub we liked enough to go somewhere that frequently! Only four of us went out, so hopefully tomorrow we'll all be in good enough shape to go out as a flat.
Cheers Luv!

Oh! I forgot to add... some guy asked me if I would model his spring line he designs. He showed me his work and it looked very legit, but I had to point out to him I wasn't exactly model size haha. I sure as hell wouldn't fit into his 0/2 sample sizes!

colt 45 is playing on the music channel right now
I finally did venture out to the grocery store... my first independent shopping excursion looks very much like my shopping at home did: cheese, milk, eggs, bread, butter, cereal... the basics. I got my first pounds out of the ATM... ouchh that exchange rate really hurts. I took out £100 so they took $160. can you say UGG?
The best part of the day by far was that when I got back to the flat Alyssa, Lauren and our new roomie Jolene were here!! FINALLY friendssssss. I was so happy to not be alone anymore. After they got settled we decided to walk over to Oxford Street, which is basically the Michigan Ave of our area. It was shopping as far as you could see... I could just feel my money trying to fly out of my pocket. We found the phone store Alyssa was looking for, called O2. We all got the exact same, sad little go phone and pretty much the same plan. Hey, at least I can call my parents right?
When we got home we made dinner (pasta with parm & butter) and tried to drink wine, but my was absolute CRAP. Obviously there was a reason it was £3.49. We had some lovely little gentleman callers though, they wanted us to go to a pub with them, but we don't have tube cards yet and we were all dead tired. THey have been here for awhile, so they know more about this than we go, so hopefully they can show us some places to go

apartment
Well here I am! It's 2:30 in the afternoon here meaning itsssss... 8:40am at home. My body feels ALL sorts of messed up right now. My roomies still are not here, it's such a weird feeling to be alone when I'm so used to being constantly surrounded by people. If you think about it chio is ALWAYS full (I mean, can you ever mind a moment for yourself?) and obviously if you've ever been to my house you know its pretty much the social center of each of our lives.
I think I may shower and venture out to go find a Tmobile to get a pone (yay!). Alyssa and Lauren were supposed to be getting in around noon, so actually they really should be arriving at the apt any minute? As expected, It's complete crap weather here. When I woke up I couldn't tell if it was night or day because it's so dark and gloomy out. Oh well I guess I'll just wait till April to see the sunshine! I think I'll also go find some food... hmmmmmm

almost time
So here I am sitting in bed at 1:44am when my flight is at 9:05 MEANING I have to get up at 5am. That's 3 hours and 16 minutes from this moment. I first thought of doing a blog because I wanted to keep everyone informed of my new adventures, but then I decided that this is much more for me than anyone else. I mean, how am I going to remember every last fantastic thing that happened unless I write it all down? The other option was a handwritten journal, but I am pretty darn sure my hand would cramp up faster than you can say 'ello. Therefor this will be a combination of a journal and a place for you to to check up on me, if you even want to haha. OH and I'm pretty much not planning on keeping it grandparent-friendly so get ready for some purdue-caliber stories. As of right now 95% of my shiz is packed and I'm going to try and get a wink of sleep. See you 6 timezones away!
